Today flight is the Arnost Hönig Memorial Cup. Three tasks are on the task sheet: HWZ, XDD, ANG and all earlier flight results are published. After the two HWz target and 3 small lakes are the scoring area of XDD. Most of pilots flew close to the HWZ targets and they approaching the lakes yet.

Flight 2: FIN – JDG – SFL – XDI – LRN
We had rainy morning according the forecast and we need to cancel the flight. But bad weather is good time for excursion. We had a nice visit in the Holy Shrine of Nepomuk and on Zelená hora what is on UNESCO World Heritage list. You may watch the photos here.
After two cancelled flights we can done the first flight with two tasks. We planned three but the wind was gusty. We need to wait to be calm and no time for 3 tasks before sunset. The was HWZ and PDG. Ten pilots from 12 drop marker to the first HWZ target but two was out of MMA. You may find the task sheet and measuring report bellow and photos here.
The cold front moved to East from us. The rain was stop about 10 o’clock, few clouds only but still windy but the forecast promise to be calm and we are ready to fly…
The yesterday evening and today morning flights are cancelled but the forecast promise good conditions for the next flights. Lets hope the best! 😉

We had the day zero on Czech National Hot Air Balloon Championship 2011 in Radesín. I found more than 50 target places what was not easy because all crops are standing and few meadows are mown only.
Almost everyhing is ready for tomorrow. The General Briefing will be 1500.

We had the last flight: Calculated Rate of Approach Task (CRT) and Judge Declared Goal with limited scoring area (Task sheet). 10 pilots drop marker to the CRT but 4 was valid and 5 marker was in JDG scoring area within the scoring period.
We calculated the final result and I was surprised that top two competitors have equal total scores in the Event. We applied the rules 14.8.2 what sad the competitor with the smaller difference between his best and worst scores will be ranked higher. Never seen same situation before on the top.

Was a good Event in nice area and I hope will be great in next year!
It’s a very comfortable Event. We need to cancel all morning flight by rain and we knew it always at evening already. We had time to drink some beer and wake-up before the morning coffee what they serve at 0900.
Task 1 results are final and the Evening flight’s results are officials.
